Where's the love song? To set us free Too many people down Everything turning the wrong way around And I don't know what love will be But if we start dreaming now Lord knows we'll never leave the clouds And you've been so busy lately that you haven't found the time To open up your mind And watch the world spinning gently out of time Countdown, final seconds its time to reckon with what you been expectin' but evadin' anticipatin', waitin', drainin' away the remains of the day- watchin as your world turns a colder shade of grey what's old is in the way of expressin' in essence the remembrance of things present even if they're unpleasant the lesson that we stressin involves your investment in the effort to restore this planet to its prime and do it now cause you're runnin' out of time cause you're runnin out of chances chances vanish as the second hand advances toward an outcome that's unavoidable without some commitment to the cause there's no pressing "pause" once the blush has left the rose and the doors close... where the time goes, nobody knows, nobody knows And you've been so busy lately that you haven't found the time To open up your mind And watch the world spinning gently out of time Feel the sunshine on your face It's in a computer now Gone to the future, way out in space And you've been so busy lately that you haven't found the time To open up your mind And watch the world spinning gently out of time Tell me I'm not dreaming but are we out of time? Are we out of time Out of time Out of time Out of time Out of time

Life can be so fair Let it go on and on I can push for good You got that cherry bomb Blow out that cherry bomb for me We lost it long ago You and me Now you know your way back from the spirit far Brush your teeth for bed Blow out that cherry bomb Blow out that cherry bomb for me You got to know it's on your sleeve Know it's on your sleeve Know it's on your sleeve (come on) It was the longest day that I had ever known I watched you start that drive alone Blow out that cherry bomb for me It's gonna burn right up your sleeve Burn right up your sleeve So there you go again Out in your dressing gown Get yourself to bed Blow out that cherry bomb Oh, life can be so fair Let it go on and on I could pay to have all your cherry bomb Oh, life can be so fair Let it go on and on I could pay to have all your cherry bomb

I was waiting for a cross-town train in the London underground when it struck me That I've been waiting since birth to find a love that would look and sound like a movie So I changed my plans I rented a camera and a van and then I called you "I need you to pretend that we are in love again" and you agreed to I want so badly to believe that "there is truth, that love is real" And I want life in every word to the extent that it's absurd I greased the lens and framed the shot using a friend as my stand-in The script it called for rain but it was clear that day so we faked it The marker snapped and I yelled "quiet on the set" and then called "action!" And I kissed you in a style that Clark Gable would have admired (I thought it classic) I want so badly to believe that "there is truth, that love is real" And I want life in every word to the extent that it's absurd I know you're wise beyond your years, but do you ever get the fear That your perfect verse is just a lie you tell yourself to help you get by?

about

Mr. Kind Oakland, California

Since its inaugural release, OK, Mr. Kind has departed from rough-around-the-edges garage folk rock to the dense electronic leanings of their second EP, Mr. Kind. The band was originally formed to perform the recorded solo material of lead singer-songwriter Brian Bergeron, but Wide Awake | Open Eyes represents each band members’ continually expanding involvement in the songwriting process. ... more
